Every great solution starts with a problem worth solving. This gate is where teams slow down and do the real work: proving the problem is genuine, understanding exactly who feels it, and showing they've looked closely enough at the space to be trusted with three more weeks to build. Through real conversations, honest research, and clear thinking, teams lay the groundwork that everything else in the Buildathon builds on.
